This flight extension meets the growing demand to connect businesses seamlessly with their global customers and reinforces our commitment to help our customers access the global FedEx air and ground network, connecting them to consumers and businesses around the world.

Additionally, the flight will support the export demand for small and medium-sized African businesses, enabling them to access more markets and new customers across 220 countries and territories, supporting the growth of SMEs and the Kenyan economy.

Africa has a critical role to play in the global economy with a huge opportunity for growth, and to be a leading force in the global economy – we are excited to provide the access that makes this possible.

FedEx remains committed to supporting economic sustainability across Kenya and the continent. We recognize Kenya’s young and vibrant population, and largely online, dynamic private sector, highly skilled workforce, and its pivotal role in East Africa.

With e-commerce having evolved as one of the largest drivers of retail today, providing consumers with another way to shop for goods. Consumers today aren’t just online, they are on the internet and on their phones buying what they want, wherever they are. This has created borderless commerce and trade. Our role is to help connect businesses and people with the goods they seek and sell.

McKinsey Global Institute projected that e‑commerce will open a new shopping experience for Africa’s growing middle class. By 2025, it could account for 10% of retail sales in the continent’s largest economies, which will translate into US$ 75 billion in annual revenue.

Through this flight, FedEx will connect our customers to new growth opportunities, offer enhanced solutions to meet evolving customer demands, and provide opportunities for African businesses to reach their customers around the world.
